WHAT IS THE BEST MATTRESS FOR BACK PAIN PROBLEMS

When looking for the best mattress for sufferers of back pain, most people believe that a firm mattress is the best solution. It has been found that this is not necessarily the answer.
Finding the right mattress for back pain relief can be very different for people who suffer either mild to severe lower back pain to back pain in a different part of the back such as between the shoulder blades.
If you suffer from lower back pain it may be caused for many different reasons. It may be the result of an accident, a medical condition or very likely because you have been sleeping on an old mattress that does not give you the right support when sleeping. It is always advisable to seek doctor’s advice before deciding what mattress will help to overcome the pain. It must be realised that we spend about one third of our life in bed and it is most important that your bed and mattress gives you the right support and comfort to enable you to have a good nights sleep. One way to judge if you have the right mattress is if you seem to toss and turn in your sleep, being restless and even battle with lower back pain.

Purchasing the right mattress will be an investment. It will not only give you the right support and comfort but will maintain that support for many years.
It has now been found that having an extremely firm mattress is not the answer for the relief of back pain in many cases. Many people will benefit from having a moderately firm mattress and have found that their lower back pain eases considerably. By choosing the right mattress you should always talk to your mattress retailer and get his advice on the most suitable mattress for you.
When choosing a new mattress consideration will need to be given to the partner who shares the bed with you. They may not need the same support from the mattress as you but in general a mattress that is suitable for you and your back pain will almost certainly be the right choice for them in supporting their back and preventing any back pain occurring.

If you require more comfort than the mattress you have chosen can give you, then mattress toppers , such as memory foam, can be added to the mattress. This will give both the right support and comfort.
Other significant factors that may contribute to lower back pain is the position you take up when sleeping and how your head rests during the night. It is always advisable to purchase a new pillow when deciding on a new mattress as it is important that your spine is in alignment while you sleep. A new mattress will not alleviate all of your back problems if your head is still not in its correct position. This will then continue to contribute to the lower back pain you are suffering.

It is always a good idea to discuss your sleeping position when seeking advice on a new mattress.
It is not necessary to suffer continuously with back pain as finding the best mattress most suitable to you together with the right pillow can go a long way to relieving the symptoms significantly.

Brilliant thoughts. I appreciate that you communicate so clear. In my judgment, your writing style is an improvment on this issue. This topic isn’t really covered that well… By the way I found this post through Ask.
