I needed to buy a new mattress for my daughters’ bedroom so I logged onto the web and immediately saw that Mattress Next Day had a wide range to choose from. I decided on the mattress that I thought would be most suitable and the price seemed very reasonable.
I telephoned the Company to ensure that the mattress was in stock. After some little while I managed to talk with someone who said that he would check availability. I was then told that it was available and could be delivered the next day. As the next day was a Tuesday and I am always out on that day, I asked for it to be delivered on the Wednesday morning. This was agreed.
Later on that day I received an email stating that they were sorry but the mattress I had ordered was out of stock but they could supply another make at the same price which was very similar. I agreed that this would be O.K.
On the Wednesday morning I waited in for the delivery of the mattress bet it did not arrive so I telephoned the Company and they said they would check out why it hadn’t arrived. I received a reply from them saying that the carrier had been delayed by a puncture and it would be arriving later in the afternoon.
The mattress arrived just after 4 pm and because of the delay the driver helped carry it upstairs to my daughters bedroom, although this was not part of their service.
The service I received from Mattress Next Day was quite good but it would have been much better if I had been telephoned by the carrier Company or Mattress Next Day to say that there was a delay in delivery, which would have eased any worry that I had about the mattress being delivered.

My wife and I decided we needed a new mattress and with so many to choose from we visited many shops to try and decide which type would suit us best. After deciding which was the best for our particular needs we then went on the web to see if we could find the same mattress at a better price.
We visited Mattress Next Day website and found the mattress we wanted at a good price. We decided to place an order for next day delivery. There was quite a delay in answering our call but finally we placed an order for delivery the next day which was a Friday.
My wife is very sceptical about ordering anything over the web and always checks any review sites to see if there have been any comments about the Company. She was extremely shocked to read so may many bad reviews concerning delivery, out of stock, etc. etc. that she persuaded me to contact the Company again to make sure that our order was available and delivery would be as stated.
I mentioned the bad reviews to the person who answered the phone and they said that they had been having problems with communications etc but new systems were now being put into place which should overcome these problems. He also said that they sell many thousands of mattresses a year and the vast majority of customers are very happy but these people do not tend to write a review therefore making it look bad. The Company said that they are thinking of giving an incentive to customers to write reviews which will give a better balance.
Although my wife and I were somewhat satisfied we said we would wait and judge when our mattress arrived.
The mattress duly arrived on the Friday morning and we are very pleased and satisfied with it.
